If you are planning to attend the World Cup in Špindlerův Mlýn, please pay attention to the following important information on transport to and arrival at the location.
Coming by car
You can decide whether to drive all the way to Špindlerův Mlýn or park your car in Vrchlabí. The latter means that you will definitely find a parking space at any time of the day, while the car parks in Špindlerův Mlýn will become full very quickly on both Friday and Saturday. It is impossible to determine the exact time from when fans shouldn’t even try to park in Špindlerův Mlýn and park in Vrchlabí instead, but from experience we can say that trying to park in the former place after 8:30 a.m. is hopeless.
Park-and-ride car parks in VRCHLABÍ will gradually be established at the roundabout in the municipality of Vejsplachy (see picture 1). After that, fans can use free shuttle buses to the World Cup site. The buses should run every 15 minutes but in case of heavy traffic, the organisers have arranged a sufficient number of additional buses. In spite of that, there might be situations in which the interval between two shuttle buses will be longer than 15 minutes. It is recommended that you give yourselves plenty of time especially if you want to leave at a certain time (to meet others, to get home in time, etc.) The shuttle buses from Vrchlabí will go to the bus station in Špindlerův Mlýn, from which they will take the same route back to Vrchlabí.
